Just tried this place last night, and as a Santa Clara resident, I am happy they decided to move in to our neighborhood. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Their location is cozy enough for a relaxed date meal but also good for families. We usually go to Ta Ra Rin for Thai but this much closer and still delicious. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees to go, which got us a lot of food under $50. They did seem a little short staffed but they seemed to have a busy Sunday night and still kept things moving. Overall, if you've been going out of the neighborhood for Thai, this place is worth checking out. It has maybe a little less variety than Ta Ra Rin and does seem to run a big spicier on their scale so order one under the spice level you usually do and you will be fine.

this is my 1st order from chaiyo & i'm not at all disappointed. the veggie spicy fried rice had a great flavor (medium spicy to perfection) & a lot of veggies, & the portions were huge. the tempura veggie appetizer had various veggies & 2 great sauces for dipping. both items came to $26 -- but the amount of food for the money left me with lunch for 2 big meals. this bistro is cute, clean & welcoming in the santa clara area. i'm so glad i tried chaiyo, as it's close to home & one of the best restaurants we've had open in santa clara for a long, long time.

We were looking for a good Thai restaurant near the place my mother lives, to have lunch before a long tip north. We were so impressed with everything about the restaurant. We entered and immediately felt at home and taken care of. Being next to a busy road and in somewhat of a strip mall we felt like we were far away from any noise and busyness. They were so accommodating and considerate. The server was easy to work with and even though alone he kept the customers happy. Then the food, most amazing dishes and presented so beautifully, the flavors were so natural and enticing. Our experience was so amazing, kudos to the chef, we will be back next time we’re in town.

My wife and I come to Chaiyo Bistro for dinner all the time, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We love the seafood dishes — everything tastes authentic and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. It’s become one of our favorite go-to spots for a relaxing, delicious dinner together. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Thai food and a wonderful dining experience!

We got takeout from here yesterday and everything about the experience was delightful. The restaurant was bright and cheery and the staff was exceptionally friendly, so we’re really looking forward to dining in some time. The takeout was packaged well - the dessert we got had ice cream in it, and they not only packaged it separately from the hot items, they packed it inside a bag of ice to keep it super cold! The aroma of the food was mouthwatering the entire drive home and finally biting into it did NOT disappoint. We got rice paper rolls, a soup, sausage fried rice, khao soi, and the banana fritters. Everything was flavorful and had a great texture - I was especially enamored with the khao soi, with its delightfully-toothsome egg noodles (both boiled and crispy), thick rich curry sauce, and incredibly tender chicken leg. We will absolutely be back!

My favorite Thai food truck finally has an amazing brick-and-mortar location. I have followed their food truck over the many relocations because I believe they have some of the best dishes in the state. The Pad Thai portion is very generous and their noodles are the prefect doneness. Staff is friendly and the owner is so sweet. Highly recommend.

This place is a 10/10 across the board. I went with my mom today for lunch at noon and the place was about half full , we were seated right away and the gentleman helping us was fantastic , clearly understands hospitality and was tentative and efficient during our visit. We got the Pad Thai, Spring Rolls and Potstickers all was cooked perfectly and arrived in a decent time. It’s just a matter of time before the folks on river road realize that the best Thai restaurant is in there neighborhood! I will be back and recommending to visitors and locals alike in Eugene/Springfield.

Chaiyo Thai Bistro is an absolute gem on River Road! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — you can really taste the care in every dish. The Spring Rolls and Tom Yum are my personal favorites, perfectly balanced and comforting every single time. The staff are so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels cozy and calm — perfect for a casual date or relaxed dinner out. You can tell this place is run with love and pride; everything from the plating to the playlist feels intentional. It’s easily one of the best Thai spots in Eugene, and definitely my go-to when I’m craving something delicious and comforting. Highly recommend!
